THIS MONDAY 7pm: Our invited speakers for the Women in STEM evening

Come along to hear some amazing women talk about their experiences studying/working in Science, Technology and Engineering. Event will be held in Rehua room 529. Guests can also join us online via Zoom.

Nidhi Tewari, PhD Candidate, University of Canterbury. She has expertise in a diverse range of areas, including social sciences, law, and information systems. She is interested in research around convergence of law and technology, and in the development of laws of policies. Her current research is focused on information privacy concerns which emerge in the context of digital profiling.

U-CAN-SPEAK Toastmasters, Vice President-Membership, Kate Wislang. Kate is a PhD student in electrical engineering at Canterbury. Her current research focuses on producing nano-thin films for environmental applications. Kate will be sharing her thoughts on her experiences of studying in the male dominated areas of physics and engineering.
