Getting started

If you just joined as a new member, it is time to select your path! Toastmasters International recommends Presentation Mastery for your first path, which will allow you to build your skills as an accomplished public speaker. If you rather prefer to focus on fields such as leadership, coaching or specific aspects of public speaking, then one of the other paths may be more suitable for you.

To find out all about Pathways, and to select your path, visit the Toastmasters International website.

Note: Your log in details for Toastmasters International are different from your credentials for easy-Speak!

Giving speeches

Once you have selected your path, you can find all your educational resources in Base Camp.

  • Request a time slot for your speech on easy-Speak, or by contacting our VP Education. Depending on demand from other members, there may not always be a slot available within the next week or two, so it pays to request speeches early. We usually have enough capacity to allow each member to give one prepared speech every 4-5 weeks.
  • Prepare for your speech by working through the project materials in Base Camp. Download the PDF with the evaluation resource and send it to your assigned evaluator. Let them know about your speech title, the objectives of your project and any personal goals you may have for this speech, so they can give you exactly the feedback you’re looking for!

Completing a level

Once you have completed all required projects for your current level, log into Base Camp to submit your award for approval! We’ll present your certificate of completion at one of our upcoming meetings. 😃
