Quiz Night #2 – Tonight!

Following our successful quiz night back in October, our last Thusday meeting is also going to involve a quiz night. This time, our teams will be trying to complete the most brain teasers/logic puzzles before the meeting is finished, all guided by Andy, our moderator.

Everybody is welcome to take part in the quiz, feel free to bring along friends/family/co-workers etc.

Bring along some chips/biscuits to share and take part in what will be an enjoyable event, with some prizes up for grabs!

Club Update + Quiz Night!

Hey everybody, here is the latest U-CAN-SPEAK news:

• Congratulations to Jon, who was elected as club President (Mondays) at the most recent Monday meeting. Thanks to all of our candidates for offering to fill this role.
• Do you want meetings to start earlier? If so, you can vote to start Thursday meetings at 6:30 pm. A poll has been started here. (Thanks Joanna for setting this up!)
• Our arrangement with UCS@Avonhead has come to an end following ongoing disagreements about the terms of the merger. Since none of us regularly attended Tuesday meetings, this isn’t a problem. If this affects your Toastmasters membership, you will have received an email from Daniel a while ago with more information about this.

Now that you’re up to date with the club, let’s talk about the quiz night. It’s a fun opportunity to have something slightly different from the ordinary meetings. Some more details.

• It’s on October 15, same time and place as the usual Thursday meeting.
• Andy, Daniel and Ross will be your quiz hosts.
• There are four categories: General, Sport, Quotations and Technology.
• Each category has ten multi-choice questions.
• There will be prizes!

What should I bring?

• Friends and family to participate in the quiz.
• Pen or Pencil to write the answer. (Paper will be supplied)
• A packet of biscuits or chips to share.
